Appointments

Medical consultations are by appointment. It is not necessary to mention the nature of your consultation but if it is for on of the following, it would be helpful to mention this to the receptionist, who would then be able to arrange the most suitable appointment and to allow the appropriate time.

  • Manipulation or acupuncture
  • Back pain or sports injury
  • Assessment for a legal report
  • An insurance examination
  • Counselling
  • Vaccination for a baby
  • Travel vaccinations
  • Cholesterol / diabetes screening
  • Cervical smear
  • Combined antenatal care

While the appointment system facilitates quality health care, patients with urgent problems will be seen immediately while those who are more ill, babies and older people, will be given priority. Because of the nature of our work, patients who have appointments are hardly ever seen exactly at appointment time.

Nevertheless an appointment system does minimise waiting. Delays are usually due to somebody getting very ill very suddenly, sometimes a child. Please be patient.
